I think it sounds nice with just a downpipe. A full exhaust is a different beast altogether. For power, if you don't plan on tuning then don't waste your time with a downpipe. You're not going to notice much aside from throttle response and a deeper note/louder burbles. If you were going to tune then I would say a downpipe is 100% worth it.. Whenever I try launch control I just spin for 3 seconds, before gripping hard. Thus my launch control is useless right now even on brand new Michelin sport A/S 3+. RWD, running MHD stage 2 with downpipe and intake. Recently purchased a 2018 340i and want to do some basic bolt-ons like exhaust, downpipe and tune. But I still have a CPO warranty until October of 2023 and I don't want to void that if I ever need it. What are my options for tuning the car and installing a high-flow catted downpipe while not getting in trouble at the dealership lol.
